I’m David Frain, a Dublin wedding photographer drawn to light, atmosphere, and the moments that often pass in a blur.

My work is for couples who are drawn to the atmosphere, character, and heritage of this country, whether that means a celebration in one of Ireland’s great houses, a city wedding with style and energy, or an intimate elopement on the coast.

My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and intuitive. From the quiet anticipation of the morning to the energy of the dance floor, I want you to feel comfortable, present, and fully able to enjoy the day, while I create photographs that feel elegant, natural, and full of life.

Over the years, I’ve photographed weddings at many of the country’s most sought-after properties, including Ashford Castle, Carton House, Luttrellstown Castle, Killruddery House, Gloster House, Castle Leslie, Kilshane House,  Markree Castle, and The Cliff at Lyons to name a few.

Intimate weddings and coastal elopements

Alongside larger celebrations, I also photograph intimate weddings and elopements in some of Ireland’s most dramatic and beautiful landscapes, including the cliffs of County Clare, Kerry, and Inis Mór.

These smaller gatherings may be quieter in scale, but they deserve the same care, atmosphere, and artistry, with imagery that feels cinematic, elegant, and deeply connected to place.
